Summer School

Our 5-week Summer School session is now in progress, June 22 - July 24. The day starts at 8:15am and ends at 12:15pm. Middle School students can have 2 two-hour classes. High School students may only take 1 four-hour class. The After School Program (ASP) is also running - sign up in the Main Office.

During Summer School, dress code is enforced. Also, students may not be absent more than 3 times for Summer School (for any reason); otherwise, they will be dropped from the class.

Welcome New Board Members

MIT would like to welcome Lou Bordisso and Gary Williams to the MIT Board of Directors. Each of these candidates brings valuable experience -- and more importantly, a passion for education and our community.

ColorGuard - 2009 NCBA Advanced Division Champions!

The high school ColorGuard ended their winterguard season on a very successful note. On Friday, they competed at Benicia High School and took 1st place in their division. At Championships on Saturday, MIT Academy's colorguard was announced as the 2009 NCBA Advanced Division Champions! Very soon we will honor the kids and the coaches for an outstanding season. Bravo again to Marcus for putting together two impressive teams - middle and high school.

MIT on Television (KRON4)

Mare Island Technology Academy was chosen by KRON4 as the Best Charter School in Solano County. Camera crews came to the school to observe us in action, and our spot will run twice per month for the next year until Feb 2010.
