Description: Instruct high school students regarding Mathematics comprehension and application. Instruct students through a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures and demonstrations for courses including: Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, and Statistics. Work with students individually to ascertain Mathematical potential. Plan and evaluate the Mathematics classroom curriculum based on MIT’s established objectives. Present Mathematics lessons and set homework assignments, as well as draft, administer and grade Mathematics exams. Prepare report cards and meeting with parents and school staff to facilitate student’s academic progress. Report to Director and will be responsible for the planning, implementation and ongoing adaptation of the Mathematics program. Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops as determined necessary by the Director and MIT’s Board of Directors. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Mathematics, or a related or equivalent. Requires a Clear California Teaching Credential in Mathematics and 2 years experience teaching Algebra, Calculus, Geometry and Statistics.
